Case study: Freshbaked
ILM approved centre Freshbaked has so far trained over 250 candidates through the ReAct programme, helping many of them get back into employment by equipping them with new skills or updating ones they already had.
“Having worked with countless organisations over the years, we know from experience the things employers are looking for. We’ve developed a suite of training courses designed to equip those recently made redundant with the necessary skills to get back into employment quickly.
One candidate we’ve helped is from Cardiff and was made redundant from a women’s retailer after working as store manager there for a number of years. After receiving CV advice and enrolling on an ILM Level 3 Award in First Line Management, she found employment within a management role with a national food chain, Iceland, within six weeks.
Whatever sector you work in, being a good leader is an essential quality to have and we are finding that those candidates with a recognised qualification from the Institute of Leadership & Management on their CVs are being seen more favourably than those without.’’
